Disclaimer
Information, not a guarantee
LinkCheckNow shows facts about links: where they redirect, the final website, how old it is, and common warning signs. These facts help you make your own decision. They are not a security guarantee. A result without warnings does not mean a link is safe, and a result with warnings does not prove a link is malicious.
Why results can differ from what you see
- Websites can change at any moment, and scam sites are often created and removed within days.
- Some sites show different pages depending on the visitor's country, device, browser or time, and some hide their real content from automated checks.
- We can't follow redirects done with JavaScript, and some sites block automated visits or don't respond.
- Website age comes from public registration records, which may be missing or incomplete for some domains.
- Look-alike and brand checks compare against a list of well-known brands and can't cover every company.
Not professional advice
Our guides are general information written in plain language. They are not legal, financial or professional security advice. If you think you've been scammed, contact your bank and report it to the appropriate authority, such as the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre or the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
Brand names
Company and product names appear in results and guides only to identify them, for example to explain that a website is not the real PayPal. LinkCheckNow is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of the companies mentioned.
Advertising
The site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are selected by Google, not by us, and don't influence results. Seeing an ad on LinkCheckNow is not an endorsement of the advertiser.
